Hiba was born in Damascus, Syria and completed a BA in English Literature before moving to the UK with her family.

Hiba worked in a variety of voluntary teaching roles before qualifying as a Bilingual Community Interpreter & Health and Social Care Advocate and working for an interpreting service in East Sussex.

The Charity first started working alongside Hiba in her role as interpreter with the Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Programme where she supported the mainly Syrian families who were resettled in Hastings, Rother and Wealden.

Thanks to a joint project with Migrants Organise and POMOC, we were able to recruit for a Caseworker in 2021 and Hiba joined us in this new capacity.
